UNDER CONSTRUCTION

This section becomes the most difficult to write, as there are a huge number of people who have built different cabinets for their own specific purposes. Many of the designs are found on the web, and in specific at the Lowther Loudspeaker website. I will try to cover a few favorites.

The Hedlund Horn is a back loaded horn. With only curves and no sharp corners it produces extremely accurate, fast, and tuneful bass response. Difficult to build, and although the plans call for MDF it sound much better in bent plywood or when cold molded. Designed specifically for the DX series of drivers.

The Big Fun Horn is Ketil Parow's baby. A big rear loaded horn meant to be used in the corner, it is capable of bass response to the low 30's. Truly a full range system. The All Fun horn is similar, but smaller and slightly less bass response.
